Black Sabbath: “Tomorrow’s Dream” (1972)
The single from Volume 4, which I can only assume was selected by dart.
Kronomyth 4.1: I’ll just go back to pretending I’m living.
And this is where I would tell you how much this song rocks and how nobody rocks as hard as Black Sabbath only, honestly, it’s kind of formulaic as Sabbath songs go. I mean, yes, it does rock, but seventh level of Hell rock? No, it does not. I truly don’t get why so many people insist that Vol. 4 is a great album. Just because Technical Ecstasy isn’t a great album doesn’t diminish them. But, for some reason, people seem afraid to criticize Vol. 4 or Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for fear that the whole tower of evil will come toppling down. Or maybe I’m just completely wrong, and Tomorrow’s Dream is awesome. I do really enjoy Laguna Sunrise, but then again I’m a prog weenie and the sound of strings doesn’t burn my ears like holy water. It’s a welcome oasis on an album of scorched earth.
