The third single from JJ’s Night and Day, and with no end to Night in sight.
Kronomyth 5.3: Breaking us in woo.
Breaking Us In Two, or Doctor Wu 2 to you. I’d write more, but a spider crept into my computer keyboard five minutes ago and it’s freaking me out. One of those fleshy-looking greenish-brown guys. I’m pretty sure he’s hiding under the space bar right now. If he was smart, he’d creep underneath the “z” key and catch some zzzzzzzs. There, got him. “Breaking Us In Two” was also released in an edited version without the synthesizer solo in the middle. He’d have wanted me to tell you that.
The flip side was either Target or its Spanish-language counterpart, El Blanco. If memory serves, Joe Jackson recorded Spanish-language versions of several songs from Night and Day. The 12-inch single also included an extended version of T.V. Age in which Joe Jackson dusts off his alto saxophone for some extra late-night soloing. No spiders were harmed in the recording of either song, so far as I know.
